　典型的には、マクドナルドなどの客の回転率の操縦に見られる発想です。照明の明るさ、ＢＧＭの大きさ、冷暖房の温度、いすの堅さ、家具や調度のアメニティー…。これらによって、客に自発性を妨害されたと感じさせないまま、回転率を操縦します。
　言い換えれば、命令や価値観に依存する制御でなく、快不快だけに依存する制御を行ないます。人々は、快不快を追求する自己決定を行なっているのですが、どこで快不快を与えるかをアーキテクト側がデザインしているわけです。
